Training & Development
CLR's Human Resource Department staff design and present "general attendance" courses and seminars aimed at management and supervisory personnel. "Company-specific" courses can also be designed to meet your specific needs, and presented to your management and supervisory personnel either at CLR or on-site.

Post-Incident/Accident:
- Confidential incident and accident investigations help identify the direct and indirect causes of an incident or accident, in order that appropriate preventative measures can be implemented to prevent recurrence.
- Accident (injury and damage) claim administration advisory consultations provide pertinent and timely information with which to limit unnecessary liability.
- WCB claims appeal advisory consultations provide timely advice on the process, potential liabilities and return involved in the claims appeal process.
Assessment/Penalty Consultations:
CLR can assist contractors to objectively assess whether a penalty or sanction is warranted and appropriate for an alleged infraction. Confidential assistance is also available for preparation of submissions regarding appeal of WCB injury claims.
CLR provides contractors with an independent source of verification that WCB premium rates are consistent with the claims cost performance and work scope of the company.
Contractor Representations:
CLR provides representation on both provincial and national construction employer committees to ensure that unionized contractors' interests are being adequately represented. This representation includes participation on various committees within the industry and the WCB, dealing with health & safety issues which affect the day-to-day operations of union contractors. CLR also ensures that the voice of the unionized construction industry is heard through development and delivery of position papers regarding the impact of proposed WCB initiatives and interpretation of health & safety legislation or policy.

CLR's comprehensive Health & Safety Manual has been favourably reviewed by the Workers' Compensation Board of British Columbia (WCB). It addresses the various elements of effective health & safety programs, and can be customized to meet individual company needs.
