CLR Connector Message from CLR’s President
It is my sincere hope that all of you are getting to enjoy an incredibly warm and sunny summer thus far. At the very least, when the rainy season returns it won’t feel like we missed summer weather. I also hope that you are not being personally affected in a serious way by the many forest fires burning throughout the province. I am always so grateful for the dedication of the men and women who risk so much to battle these fires and do their best to protect our lives, environment, and property.
You may be aware from previous correspondence that Maria Sushkova has left her position as Marketing and Communications Coordinator at CLR. Maria was offered a teaching position at the University of Canada West and I am sure you join me in wishing her all the best in her new career opportunity. We hope to fill this important position in the coming weeks and will make an announcement welcoming our new team member as soon as we are able. In the meantime, CLR staff will do our best to continue to communicate all important and relevant information in a timely manner.
Since we are short-staffed without a Marketing and Communications Coordinator this edition of CLR Connector will be briefer than usual. Still, I hope that you find the content informative. I will also keep this President’s message short and simply remind all our members that our 54th Annual General Meeting and Conference is being held in Victoria on September 14th – 16th. We are already getting a good response from registrations and if you have not already registered, I hope that you will visit our website and get your registration in soon. Aside from great speakers who will be presenting on topics relating to innovation and technology in the construction sector, we have some great activities planned that always fill up fast. Space is limited so please don’t delay getting your registration in as soon as possible.
