Welcome to the Builders of Tomorrow BC Foundation!

Founded in 2024 by CLR, the Foundation operates independently under a volunteer board of directors, committed to advancing education and career opportunities in British Columbia’s construction industry. Our mission is to empower the next generation of construction workers and professionals by providing scholarships and bursaries to BC residents aged 17 to 30 enrolled in construction-related programs. Through education and opportunity, we strive to strengthen the industry, address B.C.’s skilled labour shortage, and foster a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive workforce.

About Us

The Builders of Tomorrow BC Foundation is proudly supported by the Construction Labour Relations Association of BC (CLR). Our awards support individuals pursuing careers in BC’s construction industry, with a focus on strengthening the next generation of skilled trades professionals. We provide scholarships, bursaries, and resources to students and professionals. We aim to nurture talent, address industry demands, and positively impact communities across BC.

Scholarships and Bursaries

We offer annual scholarships and bursaries to support students and professionals based on academic excellence, financial need and commitment to construction.

How Recipients Are Selected

The Builders of Tomorrow BC Foundation is committed to a fair and transparent selection process for all scholarships and bursaries. All applications are reviewed by a Selection Committee using structured scorecards and clearly defined evaluation criteria.

Each application is assessed individually based on:

  • Alignment with the purpose of the award

  • Completeness and clarity of documentation

  • Demonstrated commitment to the construction industry

  • Financial need, where applicable

  • Academic achievement, where applicable

  • Lived experience and resilience for specific award streams

Applications are evaluated against established criteria and are not compared directly against one another.

Our Approach to Fairness

To ensure consistency and integrity:

  • Committee members use a standardized scoring scale
