This September, BC’s unionized construction community will step away from emails and Teams calls to spend three days learning and connecting in Kelowna.

From September 17 to 19, CLR’s 57th AGM & Conference will bring contractors, construction leaders, safety professionals and partners to the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort for practical learning, candid conversations and connections that are much harder to build through a screen.

This year’s theme, Moving Forward Together, reflects what the conference is designed to do: bring people with different roles and perspectives into the same room to share what they know, learn from one another and find better ways to address common challenges.

This is not an event reserved for senior leadership. It is for the people making decisions, managing teams, improving safety and preparing to lead what comes next.

Thursday gets practical. Explore recent legal developments, employee discipline, hazard identification and risk assessment, and how construction employers can create safer workplaces for underrepresented groups.

Friday broadens the view. Hear renowned political columnist Vaughn Palmer unpack the political and economic forces shaping British Columbia. Then, hear industry leaders share what major projects taught them and how those lessons can lead to better decisions on future work.

Some of the most valuable conversations will happen outside the formal program: over coffee, around the dinner table, during cocktails and inside the hospitality suite. This is where attendees compare experiences, meet people facing the same pressures and build relationships they can draw on long after the conference ends.

On Saturday, keep those conversations going on the Bear golf course, through Okanagan wine country, down a canyon or along the Myra Canyon trail.
